Jenny has taught the harp at St Mary’s School for some twenty years, combining it with a busy freelance career.  Her trio, with Clare Mellor flute, and Lucinda Wright, cello, will be playing a programme of beautiful and exhilarating music: Rameau’s Fifth Concert, Deux Pièces by Joseph Jongen, and Ravel’s Sonatine, in Salzedo’s arrangement.

Event 17 - Moviola: West Side Story (1961)

7.00pm - Marden House - Admission £6 (£4 Friends; £1 Child)

To celebrate the centenary of Leonard Bernstein we have chosen one of his most loved and well known films. Winner of 10 Academy Awards, including best picture, this electrifying musical sets the ageless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet in the slums of 1950’s New York where two gangs battle for control of the turf. The situation becomes complicated when a gang member falls in love with a rival's sister. Music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Refreshments and bar available.
