Event 10: Marlborough College Music Scholars

12.15pm - Marden House - Admission £4 (Friends £0; £1 U18s)

We are delighted to welcome back Music Scholars from Marlborough College for what is always a fascinating and intriguing lunchtime recital. A number of national and international prize winning musicians will be featured, offering a programme of exceptional variety and colour.



Event 11: BBC Gardeners’ Question Time

Doors open 5.30pm - Kingsbury Green Academy (Main Hall) - Admission £4

Come along to watch a recording of this popular BBC Radio programme which is coming to Calne for the first time as part of our Music and Arts Festival. Whatever the size of your plot and whatever the level of your gardening knowledge and expertise the event will be interesting, informative and fun. There will be a chance to put your gardening questions to the expert panel. The programme will be broadcast later in the year.

Event 12: The Schmoozenbergs

7:30pm - Marden House - Admission £10 (Friends £8; £1 U18s)

Conjuring up the mood of 1930s Paris, fused with the energy of a campfire jam session, Calne Jazz Club present The Schmoozenbergs’ uplifting gypsy jazz music will put a smile on your face and a bounce in your step. With two guitars, violin and double bass, they bring irresistible rhythms, lyrical melodies and playful improvisation to create an upbeat and heart-warming sound.
